Cussing is no different than passing gas, peeing in the pool, picking your nose, bad hygiene; all of these are expressions of selfishness and disrespect to other people. If your excuse for doing these things is that you don’t care what people think, then you have it backwards. It is you who doesn’t care about other people.

The way we speak can determine who our friends will be, the amount of respect we will get from our families and coworkers, the quality of our relationships, how influential we will be, whether we get the job or the promotion, and how strangers respond to us.

Like Momma always said, "Stop! and think before you speak."
