City of Pittsburgh Adopt-A-Lot  - The Department of Planning (DCP) has developed a Vacant Lot Toolkit is a tool aimed at making the process of public reuse of land more user friendly in Pittsburgh.
The Adopt-A-Lot Program, is the program that allows the City to enter into licenses and leases with individuals or groups who want to reuse City-owned vacant land.

City of Pittsburgh Community Safety - Zone 6 is committed to enhancing the quality of life and safety of the citizens who reside in our many diverse communities. This will be accomplished by working hand and hand with the community to prevent, reduce, or eliminate community problems. One of our goals is to reduce the fear or perception of crime by supplying the residents with high visibility patrols that will occur through park and walks, business checks, priority beats, proactive enforcement, and community interaction. We will always strive to maintain or build partnerships and trust with the community by providing law enforcement
services that are transparent, fair, professional, and respectful of the rights and dignity of all individuals.

Cultural District 2  - Founded by District 2 Councilwoman Theresa Kail-Smith, CD2 is a non-profit dedicated to connecting creativity and community.

H.O.P.E. for Tomorrow - The mission of H.O.P.E. for Tomorrow is to develop youth in the West End to compete in the global community by addressing academic, socio-economic, and relational risk factors. Helping Ourselves Produce Excellence for Tomorrow, Inc. takes a whole-family approach to community building.  Teachers, administrators, counselors, and support staff work together to meet the intellectual, social, behavioral, and emotional needs of each and every child we serve.

Kiwanis Club of Sheraden  -Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time. The Sheraden Kiwanis Club was chartered in 1951 and meets regularly on most Thursday nights at our new home at the Sheraden United Methodist Church located at 2966 Chartiers Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15204.

Southwest CDC - Founded by Councilwoman Theresa Kail-Smith, we cover 14 neighborhoods in Pittsburgh’s District 2, with the purpose of promoting a common vision among the neighborhoods and serving as an engine to propel economic growth and community development for the benefit of current and future residents, businesses, and organizations.

Sheraden Library  -An integral part of Sheraden’s community center, CLP – Sheraden offers a welcoming one-room library space, attached to the neighborhood’s Senior Center.

West End Works - Elliott now has a new Neighborhood Employment Center (NEC) and Technology Lab with FREE WIFI and Laptops. This is a public facility near Lorenz and Chartiers, housed in the Emanuel United Methodist Church, on the left of Lorenz when you walk towards the fire house.

Westside Mustang Youth Association - Westside Mustang Youth Athletic Association encourages youth development by providing opportunities for personal and athletic growth. WMYAA will promote sportsmanship, self-esteem, and the development of life skills through engaging youth in sports and mentoring while providing a safe, healthy, positive environment where the youth of our community can learn the fundamentals of sports. 2017 Registration here.
