July Meeting & Garden Help

The July Community Council meeting will be held this coming Tuesday, July 24th @ 7pm at the Healthy Active Living Center on Sherwood Ave.  This month's meeting will deal largely with the community picnic.

Gardens... The Sheraden Community Council & Kiwanis Club of Sheraden sponsor and maintain a few flower gardens in the neighborhood.  Due to the unpredictability of the weather it is difficult to plan maintenance, weeding, and planting.  Is anyone interested in participating in a sort of "on-call" list?  This would be something that would allow us to maintain a list of potential volunteers who could participate based on availability.  If this is something you would like to be involved in, please send a message to scc15204@gmail.com with your preferred contact information & we will begin compiling a list.

Use the Power of 311!

Since Disruptive Properties place a substantial threat and burden on the common health, safety, and welfare of the residents of the City of Pittsburgh, the Public Safety Director is authorized to charge the cost of law enforcement to the property owner in order to deter repeated violations of state and local law. When a property violation remains unabated for an unreasonably long period of time, misdemeanor charges may result.

PLEASE REMEMBER...IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY, YOU MUST CONTACT 911.
You can also get the 311 app for your Android or iPhone for free. It's much easier to report nuisances and also allows you to track progress on your submissions. Get the app here.
Please be patient and allow an appropriate amount of time for us to investigate and work towards resolving the issue. Thank you for helping us to improve our neighborhoods and fight back against absentee landlords.
